Another cool day for running. I just wore a t-shirt and running shorts.

What a great run tonight. It is cooling off and I always run well when the season changes. In the spring I run better cause I can shed the heavy clothes I have worn all winter.

I just decided to do a long run today and left without checking the weather or anything. I did just fine at first then begin to tire half way through.

In July, I ran two races in one week-end, knocking out two counties in the process. I thought that was pretty good. Today, I ran one race and knocked out two counties with it. How economical!

There were some kids on a front porch watching me running by so I waved to them. One young man said “How many laps is this man?” I smiled and said I was doing 3 miles tonight.

I grew up in DuPage County and started my running there before moving to central Illinois 19 years ago. For the life of me, though, I can't remember if I ever did a race in Kane County or not.
