Everyone has different schedules for different reasons. I think I have decided the best schedule to train for a long distance race is to start the week with as long a run as possible up to the race distance you are training for. The next day go as far as you can again but a little less. Keep tapering like this all week again. Take a day or so off and start over next week.
Yesterday I ran a little over 8 miles. Today I ran a little under 7 miles. My goal for tomorrow is run just a little less than that.
