Gary and I ran together today. We ran out around Lincoln Park and back.

For years we have ran together once or twice a week but he has been injured for so long I thought he might never run again. All the time he could not run he would ride a stationary bike in his garage 18 or 20 miles a day. He had a brand new pair of Asics GEL-Kayanos. He swears by them but I have worn Sauconys for years.

As we ran we talked about races we had went to in the past. He loves the Firecracker Race in East Moline because of the hills. I have always done the Galva Race on that day.

In the heading at the top of this page that is him on the left at the River-to-River Relay in southern Illinois. http://rrr.olm.net/ We ran that together several times. He was always a much better runner than me I could never keep up with him, but he has always been a good friend. There are no better friends than running friends.
